Haiku

Arise, shine bright—your light has come at last,  

Adonai’s glory rises o’er your face.  

Though darkness veils the earth, and shadows cast,  

His radiance lifts you into holy grace.  

Nations shall walk by light that you reveal,  

Kings drawn to dawn that breaks upon your brow.  

Lift up your eyes—your children homeward kneel,  

Their hearts like treasure, love fulfilled in vow.  

The least shall become  

a thousand—swiftly I act,  

when the time is right.

Camels shall throng with gifts from Midian’s land,  

Gold and frankincense in praise shall flow.  

Kedar and Nebayot at your command,  

Altars restored where sacred incense glows.  

No sun or moon shall light your gates again—  

Adonai’s glory shall forever reign.

The least shall become  

a thousand—swiftly I act,  

when the time is right.
